EMDR Intensive Therapy in Houston, Texas

Fast track your healing

You Are Tired of Being Held Hostage by Something That Already Happened.

•       You are still living inside a traumatic experience that is technically over, but your body and your brain have not gotten the message yet.

•       Anxiety, shame, guilt, or limiting beliefs are running quietly in the background of everything you do, shaping what you think you are capable of and what you believe you deserve.

•       You are blowing up at moments that do not warrant it, or going numb when you need to be present, and you know neither of those is who you actually are.

•       You can see the life you want, but something keeps you from fully stepping into it, and you are exhausted by the distance between where you are and where you know you could be.

•       You are done surviving. You want to actually live.

If you could just be free of this and actually live your life, everything would be different. An EMDR intensive is designed to help you get there, not gradually over months, but in a concentrated, deeply supported experience that goes further faster than weekly therapy can.

Two Different People, One Very Familiar Feeling

Some people come to an EMDR intensive because they are ready. They have the time, they have the motivation, and they want to do deep accelerated work rather than the slow drip of weekly sessions. Others come because things have become overwhelming and they need a powerful jump start before settling into a regular rhythm of support. Both are exactly the right reasons to be here.

Your Nervous System Got Stuck. That Is Not a Personal Failing.

Trauma, anxiety, shame, and limiting beliefs are not signs of weakness. They are signs that your brain and body did exactly what they were designed to do, protect you from something that felt threatening, and then got stuck in that protective mode long after the threat was gone. The problem is not that you are broken. The problem is that your nervous system never got the chance to fully process what happened and move through it. That is what EMDR is built to do.

Why Weekly Therapy Is Not Always Enough

Weekly therapy is valuable, but it has a structural limitation. You open something up, you start to go somewhere meaningful, and then the session ends. You go back to your life, the week happens, and by the time you come back seven days later, some of the momentum has dissipated. For people carrying significant trauma or deeply rooted patterns, that stop-and-start rhythm can slow the work down considerably. An EMDR intensive removes that limitation. Your nervous system stays in the process long enough to go deeper, and the results reflect that.

Research consistently shows that EMDR is one of the most effective treatments available for trauma and PTSD, with some studies showing significant symptom reduction in as few as three sessions.1 The intensive format amplifies that effectiveness by giving the work the uninterrupted time and space it needs.

EMDR Intensive Therapy That Goes All the Way Through

At Unload It Therapy, our EMDR intensive program is a comprehensive, carefully structured experience designed to help you process what you have been carrying and come out the other side with real, lasting shifts. This is not a quick fix. It is concentrated, supported, deep work, and it is built for people who are ready to do it.

How the Program Is Structured

Our EMDR intensive program is built around:

  • a 12-hour package starting at $2,750, offered in flexible increments of 90 minutes, 3 hours, or full 6-hour days.

  • Clients have up to three months to use their package, and we recommend consecutive days or weekly sessions to maintain momentum.

  • Before the intensive begins, we start with a 90-minute consultation for $300 to assess fit, understand your goals, and ensure EMDR intensives are the right approach for you. This is where we build your roadmap.

We know that it is a real investment, and we also know that for many people it is significantly less than months of weekly sessions. Flexible payment options, including CareCredit, Affirm, Klarna, and Afterpay, are available, and HSA and FSA benefits may be applicable. We want access to be as straightforward as possible

The intensive itself moves through four carefully designed phases. We begin with assessment and rapport building, understanding your history, your targets, and what you are working toward. We then move into a preparation phase where we build your resourcing toolbox, grounding techniques, safe space visualization, and the skills you need to manage whatever comes up during processing. The processing phase is where the EMDR work happens, using bilateral stimulation to help your brain reprocess the memories, beliefs, and experiences that have been keeping you stuck. We close each intensive with an integration phase, helping you consolidate what shifted and prepare for how to carry it into your daily life.

What You Walk Away With

Clients who complete an EMDR intensive describe a shift that feels different from anything they have experienced in traditional weekly therapy. The thing that was holding them hostage loses its grip. The limiting belief that felt like absolute truth starts to loosen. The anxiety that was always running in the background quiets. They feel more present, more grounded, and more like themselves than they have in a long time. We also schedule a follow-up session within one to two weeks after the intensive to review your progress, address anything that came up, and map out your next steps, whether that is additional intensive work, transitioning into weekly sessions, or moving forward independently.
